Roomtone is made by a very small team, which has one advantage: when you write, a person who can change the app reads it.

Email us

We answer within one business day. It helps enormously if you say which iPhone and iOS version you are on, and — when something went wrong with a particular note — roughly when you recorded it.

You can also send a report from inside the app: Settings → Report a problem. That one arrives with the details already filled in.

Common questions

A recording stopped when a call came in. Is it lost?+

No. Roomtone keeps the pieces and joins them back into one file when the recording ends. If the app was killed mid-recording, open it again — the recovery runs on launch and the recording appears in Add source → Audio.

The note came back in the wrong language.+

The notes are written in the language that was spoken, detected from the transcript. If the recording is very short or very quiet the detection can miss; open the note, tap More → Translate note, and pick the language you want.

Can I correct a name the transcript got wrong?+

Yes. Open the note, switch to Transcript, tap Edit and fix the line. You can then have the write-up produced again from the corrected text, so the summary matches.

How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?+

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so cancelling happens in your iPhone settings: your name → Subscriptions → Roomtone → Cancel. Refunds are also Apple's to give — reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves, but write to us and we will help you make the case.

I deleted a note by mistake.+

Open the list, tap the first chip and choose Recently Deleted. A deleted note waits there for 30 days and comes back whole — recording, transcript and all.

How do I delete my account and everything in it?+

Settings → Delete account removes your notes, transcripts and recordings from our servers. If you cannot reach the screen, email team@roomtone.io from the address you signed in with and we will do it for you.

Does anyone read my recordings?+

No. The audio is used to produce the transcript and then deleted from the server; the transcript and the notes stay in your account. Nothing is used to train a model. See the Privacy Policy for the full account.

It will not record at all.+

Check that iOS has microphone permission for Roomtone: Settings → Roomtone → Microphone. If it is on and recording still fails, tell us which iPhone and which iOS version you are on — that is usually enough for us to reproduce it.
