Ask Claude about your meetings
A remote MCP server that connects Claude — or any MCP client — to your Roomtone recordings: list your meetings, read a note's write-up, ask questions grounded in what was actually said, and pull the transcript. Straight from your chat window or terminal.
What your agent can do
List your meetings
See every meeting you have recorded, with titles and how many sources are behind each one.
Read the write-up
Pull up any meeting's summary, decisions and action items without opening the app.
Chat with what was said
Ask a question and get an answer grounded in the transcript — not a guess.
Get the transcript
Retrieve the word-for-word record behind any meeting note.
Everything the agent reads was recorded on your iPhone or by the notetaker Roomtone sent into a call, then written up by Roomtone — the agent just gets a way in that does not require opening the app. It can also add a source you already have (a YouTube link, or pasted text) to an existing meeting note. See the tool reference below for the full set.
Quick start
Claude.ai (Connectors)
No install, no API key to paste — this runs over OAuth. In Claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and enter:
https://mcp.roomtone.io/mcpClaude opens a sign-in prompt for your Roomtone account and asks you to approve access — the same account you use in the web and iOS apps.
Claude Code
One command adds the Roomtone MCP server to Claude Code:
claude mcp add roomtone -e ROOMTONE_API_KEY=ak_... -- npx -y roomtone-mcpOther MCP clients
For Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other clients, add this to your MCP configuration file:
{
"mcpServers": {
"roomtone": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "roomtone-mcp"],
"env": { "ROOMTONE_API_KEY": "ak_..." }
}
}
}Get your API key
- 1
Open the Roomtone web app
Sign in (or create a free account) at the web app.
- 2
Go to Settings → API keys
Click the gear icon in the top bar to open the API keys page.
- 3
Create a key and copy it
The key (starting with ak_) is shown exactly once — paste it into your MCP config as ROOMTONE_API_KEY.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Roomtone MCP server?
It's a remote MCP server that connects AI agents like Claude to your Roomtone meetings via the Model Context Protocol. Once connected, the agent can list your meetings, read a note's write-up, ask questions grounded in the transcript, and pull the transcript itself — all from your chat window or terminal.
Can the agent record a meeting for me?
No. The MCP server only reads meetings you have already recorded or sent a notetaker into — starting a recording, or sending the notetaker into a Zoom, Meet or Teams call, happens from the Roomtone app itself, not from here.
Are my API keys secure?
Yes. Keys are shown to you exactly once at creation and are stored only as SHA-256 hashes at rest — we can never read them back. You can revoke any key instantly from the API keys page in the web app, and revoked keys stop working immediately.
Which MCP clients are supported?
Any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol. Claude.ai connects directly over OAuth — no install. Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and others connect via npx locally using an API key from Settings → API keys.
Give Claude access to your meetings
Grab an API key, add the MCP server, and let your agent read the write-up while you get back to the next meeting.
